Salvation

How to become a follower of Jesus!

Becoming a follower of Jesus is as simple as ABC.

A You must admit that are a sinner, that you have rebelled against God and have gone your own way instead of His.

Romans 3:23 (NLT) For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard. Romans 6:23 (NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

B You must believe that Jesus died on a cross to pay the price for your sin, and that He will give you eternal life if you ask Him to.  John 3:16 (NLT)  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

C You must confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9-10 (NLT) For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

If you are ready to become a follower of Jesus, you can pray this prayer:  God, I admit to you that I am a sinner and have gone my own way.  I am sorry and I want to change.  I believe that Jesus died in my place and will forgive my sins if I ask Him to.  I am asking Him to right now.  Come into my life and take control and I will follow you where you lead. Thank you for dying for me and saving me.  Amen
